I like your stuff that isn't percussion. I'd work on mixing the percussion better - especially the shakers/hihats etc! Ignore the stars rating, it made me give one.

I like it....but it isn't ragtime

Ragtime usually starts with an intro, and has syncopated beats. This didn't really sound like ragtime to me, as I play a lot of it. Good job though. Unfortunately the fact it isn't really ragtime killed it.

Technically, this song has an intro and syncopated beats, but seeing as I wasn't trying to compose a song following any guidelines, any likeness to a certain style of song is just coincidental.
